BEFORE DURING AFTER

1939

1939 was a year before my time.  It was a year of good news and bad news.  The Great Depression was ending and  World War II began.  Franklin D. Roosevelt was at the end of his second  term (of four) as President.  Gone with the Wind debuted on the silver screen.  My Mom and Dad first met in this year.  This historical restoration is a tribute to that era and the generation that has been defined as the Greatest Generation.

OWNER

One of my hobbies is old trucks.  I like to drive them and I like to make them look like they did when they were new.  My goal in restoration is authenticity.  I do most all my own mechanical and body and paint work.  I'm a member of  the ANTIQUE AUTOMOBILE CLUB OF AMERICA and the VINTAGE CHEVROLET CLUB OF AMERICA.  I'm always happy to talk trucks, so just e-mail me if you have questions or comments.  Click here to see my other (1946) truck.
