1941 Models:
Introduced in September, 1940. There were 212,797 units produced.
1942 Models:
Built between October, 1941 and January, 1942 and January, 1944, until August 31, 1945. During WW II, production was controlled by the War Production Board. These trucks were only for sale to essential industries on the home front. Note the model designation remained the same as the 1942s, however, the month of production code on the VIN began with 25 for Jan, 26 for Feb. etc for 1944. 1945 truck month codes began with 37 for Jan, 38 for Feb. etc. All of these trucks featured painted trim.
1946 Interim Models:
The War Production Board authorized this model to succeed the "B" model above beginning September 1, 1945 through April, 1946. This was also a "black out model", with minimal bright metal trim.
1946 (Late) Models:
Production of this model began May 1, 1946 and continued through May 31, 1947. Those registered in 1947 were known as the "1947 First Series". The all new Advance Design Series was introduced on May 1 of 1947.
